Creating Opportunities: Trekor Awards First North Thompson Scholarship

Congratulations to Paige Arcand, recipient of Trekor’s Beyond Potential — Creating Opportunities 2026 Scholarship. This $1,500 scholarship supports graduating students in the North Thompson who are pursuing post-secondary education in fields connected to mining, resource development, trades, engineering, environmental studies, health and safety, business, and other careers that help build strong, sustainable communities.
Trekor has offered this scholarship in Williams Lake and Quesnel for a number of years. 2026 marks the first year it has been awarded in 100 Mile House and the North Thompson, expanding the program to support even more students in communities connected to Trekor’s projects and operations.
Yellowhead Community Relations Advisor, Ursula Johnston, was honoured to attend the Barriere graduation ceremony and present the scholarship to Paige in recognition of her hard work, success, and future potential.
